Accountant Positions

The Accountant position requires sound organization, communication, and accounting skills. Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles; experience in or knowledge of road construction and PennDOT requirements is preferred. This position interacts with project managers, field supervisors, contractors, etc. in order to stay current on project developments. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.

Line Striping & Pavement Markings

Compensation & Benefits: This union position includes healthcare, pension, and training benefits through Laborers Local #1058, along with a $5-per-hour night-shift differential on prevailing wage time. Additional benefits include company-paid CDL training and licensing, referral and annual incentive bonuses, a company vehicle, and a company-provided cell phone. Lodging and per diem are provided for required overnight travel. Job Summary: PLP Company is seeking a dependable Line Striper – Pavement Marking Technician to install and remove pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, and airports. Jobs are dispatched daily from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. This position requires flexibility to work long days, most weekends, and many nights during the peak season from March through December. Key Responsibilities: Layout and install pavement markings using waterborne paint, epoxy, polyurea, thermoplastic, preformed plastic, 3M tape, and related materials. Operate and maintain paint trucks, plural-component trucks, thermoplastic units, grooving equipment, and water-blasting removal trucks. Calculate field measurements from engineered plans or aerial imagery, track installed quantities, perform traffic control in accordance with DOT and safety guidelines, and load, unload, and drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment.

Operations Lead

Schedule and dispatch workers, crews, and equipment/vehicles to appropriate locations, according to customer requests, specifications, or needs. Creating and distributing production schedules; conferring with personnel and customers to determine progress of work and completion periods; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems. Support daily operations and project coordination across multiple job sites. Develop and maintain a master schedule in collaboration with the Operations Manager. Schedule, dispatch, and assign PLP field technicians to optimize workforce efficiency. Track and manage usage and location of equipment. Prepare and distribute documentation and plans for PLP field crews. Monitor incoming and outbound project communications to ensure timely reporting and execution. Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization to coordinate schedules and maximize efficiency. Communicate with fleet manager for necessary repairs of equipment. Serve as a key point of contact for internal team members and customer inquiries. Maintain organized logs and documentation of all project-related activities. Ability to read plans and anticipate all requirements of jobs being conducted by field team. Assist with general administrative and project support duties as required. Examine documents daily and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards/specifications. Record and maintain documentation of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, or other dispatch information. Maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet specific production demands.

Estimator

Meet daily, more, if necessary, with the Senior Estimator to review tasks and priorities for the day and status of pending work items. Coordinate the entire bid process; obtain and print plans, addenda, etc., create proposal template, organize, and log all invitations to bid, research and contact plan holders lists to compile a complete list of bidders. Create and distribute bid documents/proposals and track all distributions to bidders. Follow-up with bidders to confirm receipt of proposal and inquire about our bid status (awarded, lost). Support estimating staff with bid day related tasks, contractor phone calls, and revisions of proposals, etc. Set-up projects in the company database. Maintain database for each project in support of Estimating and Operations department needs. Responsible for the upkeep and organization of electronic and hard copy project files. Maintain the master list of contractor contacts. Monitor quality closely, ensuring that all finished products meet company standards. Help with answering phones and greeting visitors when needed. Provide overall support as requested by the Senior Estimator, Partners, and Office Staff. Perform related and other duties as requested.

Facilities Assistant

The facilities assistant will primarily focus on PLP Company’s property maintenance and upkeep. Additionally, the facilities assistant will assist the Inventory Control Specialist, Parts Specialist, and shop/field teams as needed and directed. Job Responsibilities: General upkeep of all PLP Company properties, grass, weed pulling, cutting, trimming, spraying as needed. Assistance with snow removal duties during winter months. Trash cleanup, removal from all PLP Company yards and around dumpster areas, upkeep and replacement/placement of signage as needed. Organizing, stacking pallets/totes and materials in bead storage shed/yards as needed. Removal of scrap metal and waste oil as needed. Daily checking and filling/replacing of propane tanks/nitrogen bottles. General sweeping/cleaning of all facilities, trash, waste removal can empty at least daily before end of business. General upkeep and cleaning of company provided vehicle. Changing of light bulbs inside offices and break rooms as needed, replacement and restocking of furnace filters on at least a monthly basis. Stocking/checking on quantities of paper towels, toilet paper, printer copier paper. Stocking/checking of shop/field team consumables as needed. Unloading trucks, checking in (verifying quantities received) of material orders as directed by the Inventory Control Specialist/Fleet Manager. Assistance with incoming/outgoing shipments/freight as needed. Delivery and pickup of materials, bids, equipment as needed. Assist PLP Company shop team as directed by Fleet Manager (pickup drop-off of parts, supplies, and equipment). Assist PLP Company field team as directed (posting of “No Parking” signage. Drop off/delivery of bids/paperwork. Delivery/pickup of materials and equipment.)

Parts Specialist

Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles. Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items. Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery. Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager. Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors. Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made. Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the shop manager. Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory. Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits. Operates forklift truck when necessary. Performs other related duties as requested.

MOBILE Mechanic

Compensation & Benefits: Earn $30+ per hour, based on experience, plus a $2.50-per-hour night-shift differential. This position works independently in diverse field environments while also supporting repairs and maintenance in the shop as needed. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on equipment ranging from light-duty vehicles to heavy-duty Class 8 trucks. Provide on-site and roadside assistance, including emergency repairs and towing coordination. Follow OEM specifications and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams; maintain and test tools and equipment; perform welding, fabrication, and DOT inspections as needed; and follow all required safety procedures.

FLEET Mechanic

Senior Fleet Mechanic

This position requires advanced technical expertise, independent judgment, and the ability to mentor less experienced mechanics. Key Responsibilities: Lead diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance according to OEM specifications and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams. Serve as the team’s go-to resource for complex mechanical issues, train and mentor other mechanics, and model proper safety and repair practices. Welder/Fabricator

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to plan welding procedures. Position, align, and secure metal components before welding. Cut, shape, fit, and weld parts for truck bodies, chassis, and equipment using blueprints or sketches. Operate torches, power supplies, and welding machines to fuse or cut metal. Inspect completed welds for strength, precision, and defects, adjusting as needed. Keep welding equipment, machinery, and work area clean and in good working order. Follow all safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure a safe work environment.

Facilities Support Lead

Field & Fleet Support: Receive and unload incoming shipments; verify quantities and materials Coordinate delivery and pickup of equipment, materials, and documents Support fleet and shop operations, including parts and supply transport Assist field teams with signage placement, material delivery, and job support Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of company vehicles Facilities & Grounds Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance of company properties, including mowing, trimming, and general landscaping Assist with seasonal duties such as snow removal Monitor and refill propane tanks and nitrogen bottles Maintain clean and organized workspaces, including daily trash removal Restock facility supplies such as paper products and shop consumables Warehouse & Yard Operations: Organize and manage pallets, materials, and storage areas Maintain cleanliness of yard spaces, dumpster areas, and storage facilities Assist with removal of scrap materials and waste products Inventory & Logistics Support: Support incoming and outgoing shipments and freight coordination Perform basic inventory tracking and organization Replace facility items such as light bulbs and HVAC filters as needed
