Accountant Positions

The Accountant position requires sound organization, communication, and accounting skills. Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles; experience in or knowledge of road construction and PennDOT requirements is preferred. This position interacts with project managers, field supervisors, contractors, etc. in order to stay current on project developments. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.

Line Striping & Pavement Markings

· Layout and install pavement markings on roadways, parking lots, athletic courts, and airports according to specifications and other various requirements. · Calculate field measurements using engineered plans and/or google earth images. · Track and record quantities of pavement markings on each project. · Perform traffic control. Example; flagging, short-term lane closures, and slow-moving mobile lane closures. · Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance. · Operate various equipment to install pavement markings, including airless paint machines, air-atomized paint trucks, epoxy plural component trucks, thermoplastic truck and hand liners, and waterblasters. · Load and unload trucks on a daily basis. · Drive company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job site. · Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Operations Associate

Maintain a positive relationship with all employees, contractors, and potential customers. Possess exceptional multi-tasking abilities. Create master schedule in coordination with Operations Manager. Schedule and dispatch all jobs that are secured by Parking Lot Painting Co. Assign field technicians to jobs in order to achieve optimum results. Maintain a detailed list of all equipment, dates of use and locations being used. Provide proper documentation to all field employees to effectively execute their jobs. Ability to read plans and anticipate all requirements of jobs being conducted by field team. Provide administrative support in any way needed. Monitor incoming and outbound project calls for timely completion and reporting. Respond to and handle customer questions and problems in a timely manner. Ensure that all project related communication is properly logged and communicated to essential personnel. Perform other duties as assigned.

Facilities Assistant

The facilities assistant will primarily focus on PLP Company’s property maintenance and upkeep. Additionally, the facilities assistant will assist the Inventory Control Specialist, Parts Specialist, and shop/field teams as needed and directed. Job Responsibilities: General upkeep of all PLP Company properties, grass, weed pulling, cutting, trimming, spraying as needed. Assistance with snow removal duties during winter months. Trash cleanup, removal from all PLP Company yards and around dumpster areas, upkeep and replacement/placement of signage as needed. Organizing, stacking pallets/totes and materials in bead storage shed/yards as needed. Removal of scrap metal and waste oil as needed. Daily checking and filling/replacing of propane tanks/nitrogen bottles. General sweeping/cleaning of all facilities, trash, waste removal can empty at least daily before end of business. General upkeep and cleaning of company provided vehicle. Changing of light bulbs inside offices and break rooms as needed, replacement and restocking of furnace filters on at least a monthly basis. Stocking/checking on quantities of paper towels, toilet paper, printer copier paper. Stocking/checking of shop/field team consumables as needed. Unloading trucks, checking in (verifying quantities received) of material orders as directed by the Inventory Control Specialist/Fleet Manager. Assistance with incoming/outgoing shipments/freight as needed. Delivery and pickup of materials, bids, equipment as needed. Assist PLP Company shop team as directed by Fleet Manager (pickup drop-off of parts, supplies, and equipment). Assist PLP Company field team as directed (posting of “No Parking” signage. Drop off/delivery of bids/paperwork. Delivery/pickup of materials and equipment.)

Estimating Assistant

Meet daily, more, if necessary, with the Senior Estimator to review tasks and priorities for the day and status of pending work items. Coordinate the entire bid process; obtain and print plans, addenda, etc., create proposal template, organize, and log all invitations to bid, research and contact plan holders lists to compile a complete list of bidders. Create and distribute bid documents/proposals and track all distributions to bidders. Follow-up with bidders to confirm receipt of proposal and inquire about our bid status (awarded, lost). Support estimating staff with bid day related tasks, contractor phone calls, and revisions of proposals, etc. Set-up projects in the company database. Maintain database for each project in support of Estimating and Operations department needs. Responsible for the upkeep and organization of electronic and hard copy project files. Maintain the master list of contractor contacts. Monitor quality closely, ensuring that all finished products meet company standards. Help with answering phones and greeting visitors when needed. Provide overall support as requested by the Senior Estimator, Partners, and Office Staff.

Parts Specialist

Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles. Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items. Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery. Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager. Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors. Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made. Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the shop manager. Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory. Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits. Operates forklift truck when necessary. Performs other related duties as requested.

Mechanic

Repairs and maintains construction equipment of various types and sizes from light-duty to heavy-duty (class 8) trucks and from light-duty to heavy duty operating equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions as they arise. Perform preventative maintenance following OEM specifications as well as electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams. Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools. Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning when used. Occasionally fabricate, weld and cut parts, using arc-welding/ wire feed and flame cutting equipment. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Ability to work safely and follow Company Safety Policies. Perform DOT inspections. Perform related and other duties as requested. ** Work in the field operations may be required.
